How Much Do You Value Your Time?

We are all given the gift of time. But those of us who value this gift understand that the quality of our life depends on how we spend our time, and not on how much stuff we own.

You might think you have all the time in the world, but tomorrow isn’t promised to anyone. At any given moment time and death can decide when our last breath will be. Remember all those things you told yourself you were going to do? Now is the best time to do them.

Time doesn’t know about excuses. It will sneakily pass by if you are not aware of it. It doesn’t know about names either. It doesn’t matter if you treat your Monday as your Sunday, or if you work full time on the weekends, as long as you give time the value it deserves.

So, are you wasting your gift?

You are wasting your time if you live life by default – if nothing makes you jump out of bed and say, “ok let’s do this.”

You are wasting your time if you are spending it with complainers, haters, or people who gossip.

You are wasting your time if you are using it to create stress.

You are wasting your time when you are searching for happiness. Happiness isn’t something you find, it is something you create.

You are wasting your time if you are looking for your passion. Passions come with a trial period. If you don’t take action on them, they’ll go knock on your neighbor’s door.

You are wasting your time if you are using it to compare your success to others’.

The list is endless. I cannot tell you exactly how to use your time, but I can tell you what time seems to like.

Time likes when you invite him for breakfast. When you eat mindfully while appreciating the people around you.

Time likes when you get up every day, feeling thankful for having a roof over your head and food in your fridge.

Time loves when you press play and get that workout done, or when you go for long walks.

Time likes when you are productive, creative, and passionate at the same time.

When you are having fun.

When you are helping people.

When you spread love and kindness to others.

Time is your birthright and one of the best gifts you can have. No currency is as valuable as time. If you have it, use it wisely.

So what about you? Do you value your time?
