My name is Jessica, and I’m an artist and illustrator living in Groningen, Netherlands. I create colorful artwork that is both semi-realistic and illustrative using traditional media like watercolor, colored pencils, and gouache.
I specialize in portraits, but I illustrate a variety of subjects. I’m available to work on commercial or private projects of any scope, making sure you’re happy and satisfied with the finished piece. And communicating clearly with you throughout the process of the project, from the initial sketch (or sketches) to the end result.
If you’re interested in commissioning work or licensing an existing piece, please contact me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org and I’ll be happy to put together a quote. Or enter your information in this form.
My Creative Journey
I’m originally from Mexico, and I grew up in Tuxtepec, Oaxaca. After graduating from college, I became passionate about teaching English. And that’s what I did for the next few years, before falling in love with a Dutch man and moving to the Netherlands in 2015.
A year later, I started my online clothing business, which promotes the work of Mexican artisans. You can learn more at dressaraz.com Shortly after, I started blogging. It was then that this website was born, which has allowed me to combine three of my biggest passions: writing in English, drawing, and motivating others.
These days, I dedicate most of my time to creating art and illustrations. The artwork I create is inspired by my personal experiences, travels, and people I admire.
When I’m not making art, I am writing stories that motivate people to reach their goals. I write blog posts on creativity, happiness, and self-love, among many other related subjects.
